Ever since the news came in that Yuzvendra Chahal will have to pay Rs 4.75 crores alimony to Dhanashree Verma, fans have been vocal about the alimony judgement. Many are questioning the need for an alimony in this case as the other party is well-educated, have a vibrant, well-paid career and do not have children. For a marriage that lasted only 22 months, this alimony amount of Rs 4.75 crores seems monumental to people and many prominent figures are now openly critcising this judgement of paying such huge alimony.
Prominent laywer Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, who advocates for men’s right has expressed her dissappointment on the alimony amount.
Dhanashree Verma is educated

She is empowered
She earns pretty well
There is no child from Marriage
Still she is taking 4.25 Crores Alimony from Yuzvendra Chahal for a marriage that lasted just 18 months
Then feminists have a problem with the word Gold Digger 🤐🤐 pic.twitter.com/7WOfZRG86B
NCMIndia Council For Men Affairs, a NonGovernmental Organization working towards the protection of Men, opines that Dhanashree was indeed after Rs 60 crores alimony but feared heavy backlash of being called a Gold Digger and then agreed upon nearly Rs 5 crores settlement.
Thank you Internet you saved 55.25 core of #YuzvendraChahal . As per reports it was the intense trolling and the fear of being leveled as a Gold Digger which forced Dhanashree Verma to settle for 4.75 crore alimony instead of her initial demand of Rs. 60 Crore. pic.twitter.com/UqkkFWthNF

It may never be known as who is the real culprit for the breakdown of marriage however the fact cannot be brushed aside that Dhanashree’s visibility in mainstream media skyrocketed after marrying the cricketer. In a podcast with Ranbeer Allahbadia, the influencer herself opined that she is lucky to have access to such a high-profile social circle just because of her cricketer husband.

Social media fans are even talking about Samantha and praising her as the actress did not took any alimony despite being offered Rs 200 crores alimony from Naga Chaitainya.
Remember, nearly a month ago when Dhanashree’s nearby members expressed outrage when reports emerge of Dhanashree demanding Rs 60 crores alimony? Dhanashre too shared a lengthy post indicating that nothing of that sort was true about the 60 crore alimony figure. However, the alimony judgment, whether ₹4.75 crores or not the speculatsed ₹60 crores, appears to contradict Dhanashree’s earlier statements in her post where she stated “I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity.” The question may arise that despite such a vibrant career why alimony (even Rs 4.75 crore) was asked for?
Did Yuzvendra Chahal mocked Dhanshree Verma with his T shirt Phrase “Be your own Sugar Daddy”?
For the unverse, A Sugar Daddy is usually refer to a situation when a relatively older man is in a relationship with a young woman for the sole intent of having casual relationship in exchange of providing financial security to the woman. However, the main connotation of Sugar Daddy is the man spending lavishly on the girl to fulfill her material needs.

Yuzvendra Chahal was seen conveying a sarcastic message on his black T shirt when he arrived at the court for his divorce settlement on 20th March. Court hearings usually mandate formal clothings from the parties and any such casual clothing usually calls a strict reprimand from the judges. But Yuzi actually went inside the court premises with a jacket clothing.
While the cricketer may have vented out sarcasm to his ex-wife through “Be your Own Sugar Daddy” phrase, it seems that Dhanashree has retaliated with a song coming out on the same day of divorce being granted. And listening to the lyrics of the song, you might wonder whether those lyrics were like a vield dig to her ex-husband. You may want to listen to the lyrics below.
Correlation between Alimony amount and Non Disclosure Agreement
One of the major reasons of a divorce is infidilty. However, the culprit partner can incentivize the other to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement that prevents leaking of information (such as reason of divorce).
When going for divorce, individuals with high reputation look to prevent information to come out in the public domain that can tarnish their image. They do this by incentivizing their partner to sign an NDA and this is why the actual cause of divorce never comes out in the public domain in most high-profile cases.
Its reasonable to say the greater an individual’s need to protect their image, the higher the alimony they are likely to pay their partner. This does not mean that we are speculating the culprit in the case of Yuzvendra and Dhanshree divorce. But if you see many real life examples you will never find the actual cause of divorce as one partner (the culprit) has usually gotten the other one to sign an NDA in exchange of huge settlement.
