Jackielynn Pradhan is the first transgender model from Jorethan who recently won the Miss Universe Sikkim 2025. She was born in Sikkim on 19th May 2004 and therefore is currently 21 years of age as of May 2025.

She contested alongside 45 participants to win the title, a dream she has carried in her heart for the last nine years. She will be representing Sikkim in the Miss Universe India competition.

Journey for Jackielynn Pradhan has not been easy. In her school time, she used to get bullied for being a transgender.

It was in 2013 that Jackielynn Pradhan participated for the first time in a paegant competition. It was her sister who pushed her to participate.

According to her interview, Jackielynn Pradhan underwent gender change surgery two times. One in 2023 and the other in November 2024. At the age of 16, she expressed her desire to parents to become a woman. Her family was supportive of her desire and took her to a Psychiatrist and Endocrinologisy that eventually paved the path for her new hormone profile followed by surgeries.

As per available information on the Internet, Jackielynn Pradhan was born to L.M. Pradhan and Pricella Gurung. She identifies herself as a Christian. Her parents come from a middle class background. Her father works a government job while her mother is an international nurse, who is working in Israel currently. Jackielynn Pradhan sees sees her role model in her mother who she opines has sacrificed to give a better life to her children.

Jackielynn Pradhan’s story is an inspiration that shows nothing is impossible if there is family support and willingness to go after the dream.
