And what eerie connection does this story have with the recent Ahmedabad plane tragedy? Find out in this spine-chilling account.

There are moments when luck and circumstances interferes in the most unimaginable ways. The recent Air India plane crash on June 12 tragically claimed nearly 270 lives in total. But this story is about the very fortunate who escaped death—not by chance, but by a twist of fate.

Kapil Sharma in 2022, invited Jitendra Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor on his show. The actor Jitendra shared how he narrowly avoided being on an unfortunate flight.

He was scheduled to fly for a shoot, but his wife insisted he stay back for Karva Chauth. Jitendra was very hesitant and he wanted to travel for the shooting.

He initially reached the airport but was informed that his flight was delayed by two to three hours. He told his wife about the scenario and asked whether it would be wise to return back home and do all the necessary rituals rather or to wait at the airport.

He gave in to the emotional plea of his wife and returned home and did all the rituals. As soon as those were completed, he was about to leave for the airport, however, his wife firmly told him to travel the next day only.

Respecting her wish, Jitendra stayed back and informed his make up man to return to home (from Airport). But he was about to experience something that only luck would have done.

From the home, he witnessed an airplane (his intended flight) engulfed in flames in the sky. It was a chilling sight and Jitendra could only thank the Almighty and his wife for not boarding that plane.

The tragic ill-fated flight was the Indian Airlines Flight 171 which departed on the day of KarwaChauth on 1976 from Mumbai To Chennai. But unfortunately, the plane’s second engine suffered a deadly failure from metal fatigue.

Upon realizing the situation, the pilots made a U Turn after the take off in order to land the aeroplane at the Mumbai Airport. The fire was uncontrollable and all the 96 people were dead, including a co-star of Jitendra.

It is ironic that the plane in Ahmedabad Plane Crash was also numbered 171 – the same as that of 1976.

That day, Jitendra realized how powerful intuition can be. He credits his wife’s sixth sense for saving his life. In hindsight, what seemed like a minor marital disagreement turned out to be a divine intervention.
