The two characters and the respective actors were on the lips of every household back in those times when Ekta Kapoor’s serials were the only escape from reality. As you probably would have figured by now, we are talking about Aamna Shariff.

The actress acheived immense peak from that role however, what was surprising is that Aamna consciously stepped away from the TV Industry. Fans were wanting to see more of Aamna but she was no where in any TV serial or films.

Speaking to FilmiGyan, Aamna Shariff talked about her popularity time and reveals why she stepped away.

“It was a conscious decision (to Step away) on my part because I did a show for six years. And I wanted to take a break…..There were a lot of good projects where it wasn’t an easy decision for me to say no to them.” Aamna told in a podcast with FilmiGyan.

Actually, Aamna indeed did some few movies after her TV Stinct like Aloo Chaat, Aao Wish Karein and Shakal Pe Mat Ja but unfortunately, they didn’t performed well at the Box Office. Her 2014 movie Ek villain did very well though. She came to TV with the reboot of iconic show Kausati Zindagi Kay.

Won’t do Big Boss : Aamna Shariff

Considering Aamna’s popularity at that time, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she was approached by Big Boss makers for participation.

Speaking about the Big boss, Aamna strongly vouches to never take part in the reality show game as she is a very private person.

In a world where people take every opportunity to milk an unexpected fame and recognition, Aamna’s decision at that time to step away at her peak was quite refreshing where she prioritized her personal life.

Aamna’s marriage also created major headlines in 2013 when she married Amit Kapoor, a Hindu and a prominent film producer. The couple have a daughter together.
