In a recent interview with former former IRS Ravi Kapoor, Sameer Wankhede opened on many things.

Sameer Wankhede is an officer, who got limelight from the Aryan Khan case where he arrested the son of Shah Rukh Khan in a drug case.

Aryan Khan got bail after spending almost four weeks in jail due to lack of evidence. But later on allegations erupted that Sameer Wankhede had done the false arrests in order to get a huge bribe.

Not many people know that the NCB team led by Sameer Wankhede was also amongst the groups that were probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

In his recent interview, Sameer Wankhede opened up on the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe and had a very interesting revealation.

While he chose not to diverge any sensitive information, he stated that nearly 8 kgs of drugs were seized from different parts of the city and more than 35 people were arrested and that the NCB had filed a very strong charge sheet in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Sameer refused to divulge or speak anymore on that matter.

This year, the CBI had filed a closure report on the actor’s death probe and came to the verdict that there was no foul play, thereby giving relief to Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty.

“There was a Delhi team, and I was heading the Mumbai team during that point of time.”

Interviewer: “What happened in that case, sir?”

Sameer Wankhede: “Look, I would not like to comment on that matter because in the NCB, from what I read, a chargesheet has been filed. The trial is on. In fact, the chargesheet was filed by our team itself. The trial might already be underway or might have started. So I would not comment on anything that could be harmful to the case. But from what I remember, there were around 35 arrests in that case. Around 8 kilograms of drugs were seized — from various locations. And a very strong chargesheet was filed by our team, as far as I remember.”
