Pranjal Kamra is an Indian Youtuber who is mainly known for providing financial advises. He was born in Raipur, Chattisgarh. He is one of the well-known financial experts in India. He is the co-founder of Finology services which provides financial advises. It is worthy to note that Finology is the first SEBI registered financial advisory service in Chattisgarh.
Early Life and Background
As per his own opinion, he used to be an average student whose name used to appear in the last ranks of his class. He went to Holy cross S.S School,kapa raipur. In his childhod, he used to worry a lot, especially from his teachers. He also used to be anxious about someone noticing his stammering when he was a child.
His family consists of 4 members. His Dad name is Ravi Kamra and mother’s name is Madhu Kamra. His sister name is Priyanshi Kamra.
After his 12th standard, his parents wanted him to become a lawyer and therefore he started preparing. He gave entrance exam in National Law University and even got selected in it. He studied his law at Hidayatullah National Law University. But in his mind, he used to be obsessed about having his own business but did not knew what he wanted to do for a living.
Then one day, he saw news debate where financial experts were giving advises to people. Pranjal told his father that he wanted to do the same thing i.e. to become an investor. His father was puzzled at him for 2 minutes. But he gave him Rs 20,000 and told him to make the most of them.
Few days later, Pranjal bought the shares of TVS Motor worth of Rs 5,000. The reason he purchased shares of TVS company was because he had recently got a gift of TVS scooter. In just one year, the share prices went upwards nearly 10 times than what Pranjal had brought it for. Seeing this instant success on first investment, Pranjal became overconfident. And this overconfidence made him invest in the shares of many more companies where he lost a lot of money.
After his college graduation, his friends were getting placed while Pranjal had visioned of doing something of his own only. In order to start his own venture, he knew that he would either need money or experience, and he didn’t had both. Therefore, he needed to find a route to make his own without the need of either of them.
He then tried his hand on Youtubing and website design and development. He had earlier tried his hand on blogging but failed miserably.
Once he got on Youtube, Pranjal faced a tough time. He made 60 videos before one of his videos got viral. Seeing the dissappointment, Pranjal was wondering whether he could have joined a job instead of doing this Youtube thing.
But as they say that success eventually comes in when one has put in the work. The same happened with Pranjal. In January 2018, one of his videos got viralled and his channel started gaining viewership on a consistent basis.
After his channel started gaining traction on content related to financial advises, Pranjal also started to make content on legal services. Slowly by slowly, the legal advisory content also started gaining viewership.
He did not believed in running after investor for his company and instead bootstrapped it.
Pranjal Kamra Girlfriend, Wife & Relationships
Pranjal Kamra is married to Priya Jain, who he met in 2008. Priya Jain is a law graduate. They got married in 2020 after dating since 2005. Priya, his wife mentioned in an interview that he and Pranjal met when they were in 11th standard. Actually, Priya had joined Pranjal’s school at that time. Priya mentions that she liked Pranjal the day she saw him for the first time and jokingly states that she decided that either Pranjal was going to be his husband or she is not going to let him live at all.
They both used to write love letter and got caught multiple times. Priya even mentioned how Pranjal used to get beaten up by his mother in front of her for scoring low marks in Maths.
Interesting facts about Pranjal Kamra
He had a superiority complex in school as he was a headboy and therefore many people used to know him. However, all that thing went away once his environment changed and therefore Pranjal opined one time that “People need to realize that they are not the center of the universe.”
In his childhood, he opened a comic shop on rent. Sometimes, they used to sell door to door but his confidence and art of talking to people improved significantly due to his comic venture. Eventually, he got so good in speaking that he schools used to sent him for debate competitions and he won many of them. He also used to sell Rasna and Lemon juice to players in cricket academies. He tried his hands on selling music cds and game cds also when he was young.
It took his Youtube channel nearly 8 months to get some traction. It shows that things on Youtube can take time.
He wants to enter politics at some point of his life.
By his own admission, he was extremely good in cricket. He used to be an excellent bowler but his bowling started suffering as his eye sight got worse. Seeing his performance getting worse, he discussed with his father about his career and eventually decided to leave cricekt for good. Pranjal believes that leaving cricket at that time is his biggest regret.
You may not believe it but Pranjal has a deep desire to be good enough so that he could play atleast 1 IPL match in his lifetime.
Pranjal used to be very overconfident about his skills and abilities.
A lot of known celebrities opines that Pranjal Kamra is one of the humblest people they have ever seen. Even his wife opines that Pranjal has such a personality that no amount of irritation gets to him.
When asked about one habit that he would like to change, he opines that he would love to wake up earlier at around 6 – 6.30 a.m.
He invests most of his money in real estate. His grandfather and grandmother did not owned any land until 70 years of age whereas his father and mother did not had own any land till 50 years of age. Now since Kamra is doing extremely well in his profession, his father and mother buys properties with ease.
He mentions that the worst thing about him is that he is never at peace. Although, he is not overworked or stressed out but for some reason he doesn’t feel peace and therefore strives for it all the time.
He has interests in many things including music and cricket. At one tine, he jokingly discussed with his wife that he also wants to do music review on Youtube.
