If you believed that only fictional crime stories can cause goosebumps then wait till you read about the heinous crime committed by an Indian Wife and her boyfriend.

A few days ago, news went viral that an Indian Wife Muskan Rastogi directed her boyfriend to kill her husband Saurabh Kumar who had worked in Merchant Navy but later shifted to London in 2023 for a managerial job as per multiple reports however his sister claimed that Saurabh was indeed working in Merchant Navy company in London.

Muskan and Saurabh had a love marriage in the year 2016 and were blessed with a baby girl in 2019. The couple had an intercaste marriage against the wishes of the families. In fact, Saurabh was even warned about getting disowned by his family and from inheritance rights of crores of property if he went ahead with the marriage. Despite all the possibilities of inheritance right financial repercussions later on, Saurabh went ahead and married the woman he loved!

But how did the relationship turned to this stage where the wife hatched plan to kill her husband?

According to the reports, Muskan and Saurabh were living seperately from their in laws whereas the neighbours said the husband was too good while the wife used to create ruckus every now and then.

The parents were also of the view that their son in law left no stone unturned to shower love and support his wife Muskan and therefore their daughter deserves nothing else except punishment.

Muskan’s parents had earlier suspected Muskan of going through depression due to Saurabh’s long distance work in London when they observed their daughter’s drastic weight loss of nearly 10 kg. But when they came to know about the entire murder matter they realized that Muskan’s alleged boyfriend had eventually made their daughter a drug addict which indirectly was causing her weight loss.

Allegation of Multiple Extra Marital Affairs

Saurabh’s brother Babloo alleged that his sister in law Muskan would often be the cause of trouble between Saurabh and his family. Babloo even went on to say that Muskan used to have extra marital affairs even before Sahil came into her life in 2019. Babloo wanted Saurabh to start divorce proceedings however Saurabh didn’t paid heed to the advice at that time.

Saurabh’s sister also recalled an incident when Muskan went away from the home to stay with a boyfriend in Noida few years ago.

How Muskan and Boyfriend did the deed?

Saurabh was returning to Meerut from UK on 24th Feb in order to surprise Muskan on her birthday but she had other things planned out. She attempted to drug and sedate Saurabh into unconsciousness on 25th but didn’t succeed.

But on the 4th of March, she hatched a plan. Muskan had purchased two knives worth Rs 800 from a shop at Sharda Road on the pretext of cutting a kitchen. Her intent was to drug her husband with anxiety pills by mixing them in his dinner.

At late night around 12.30, Muskan checked in on Saurabh and realized that he has gone into deep sleep. Seeing the opportunity, she called Sahil. Spine chilling details emerged that the duo rehearsed about committing the crime for nearly 20 minutes.

Muskan then was persuaded by Sahil to end Saurabh’s life with knife. His body was then dismembered into 15 pieces by her and boyfriend Sahil Shukla. The pieces were layered with cement in order to prevent any suspicion and then they shoved all the pieces inside drums. After commiting a heinous crime the couple went to Shimla for 13 days and stayed in multiple hotels.

When they returned, call it guilt or fear of law, Muskan revealed about the crime to her parents on 18th of March after which her parents took her to the Brahmpuri Police Station.

One would argue that Muskan was living a fairly decent life as her husband was earning in UK however there were other concern revolving in her mind when Saurabh decided to return to India on 24th Feb. Muskan’s parents told a news channel that the boyfriend Sahil Shukla was of the belief that the husband will not allow both of them to use drugs.

Muskan regularly posted status through Saurabh;s phone with an intention to imply that she and her husband Saurabh have gone for vacation. Muskan did not answered any phone calls from Saurabh’s phone but responded only via texts and messages.

Parents of Muskan revealed that the affair between the two of them started two years ago when Muskan’s husband went to UK for a job. People from the area stated that Muskan used to stay aloof mostly and would not interact with anyone.

One must take note of Muskan’s parents in the way they have shown solidarity for their son in law. The parents not only took the daughter to the police station after she confessed about the murder but have openly talked to the media that they want justice for their deceased son in law even if that means a capital punishment for their daughter.
