There was a time when writers used to feel relief when they would finally sent the draft copy to the client for a review.

But in today’s era, a writer feel respite when they see “0% AI Generated” or “Your content is 100% Human generated” message from AI detection tools.

Apart from plagiarism check, content reviewing has a new benchmark these days. Its called AI Detection and unfortunately, it is causing more headaches than the positives.

It is not uncommon for writers to spend more time in rephrasing on their own written content in order to get a “100% Human Written Content” message so that they can forward it to their client.

There is no denying that ever since AI tools like ChatGPT have cropped up, content writing has speed up drastically. And it should have been a good thing for the writers.

But, NO!

Such AI tools have dramatically shifted the supply and demand of content writing. Now, more textual content (and even in images and videos) can be created with just a blink of an eye than what is needed. However, there is a problem and a big one!

An AI generated content although can be factually impressive but does give a feeling of being robotic, mechanical that lacks a human touch.

No matter how good an AI generated text content is, simply knowing that its AI generated creates a bias which makes human negatively rate them as per study.

Therefore, with AI generation tools for text content, a new industry has also erupted, the one of “AI Detection Industry”

AI Detection tools are all over the Internet. But for the sake of this article, we will focus mainly on Quill Bot (as it has one of the reputed tools ) and ZeroGPT which is one of the hardest AI detection tool that most people are using as per data on SimilarWeb which suggests that the website gets a whopping traffic of nearly 10 million per month.

The title of this article is absolutely correct. Its not click bait at all. Bypassing AI Detection for your human generated content is indeed possible and you don’t need any paid tools.

What you do need is an understanding of how AI detection is gauging your content and then how to formulate the sentences that not only sound natural and more immersive but also do not produce false positives even when your content is 100% human written.

Are AI Detection Tools Reliable?

Absolutely not. And you don’t need a massive survey to know this. OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT started an AI detection service too, couple of years ago. However, they closed down citing unreliability of it.

The problem has become so severe that an entire human generated content are getting flagged as AI generated from various tools. We talked to a digital marketing agency in New Delhi and they told us that clients are hell bent on AI Detection reports for every textual content they produce for them.

And on most occasions, the detection tool gives a range of percentage of false positives anywhere from 25 – 90% even when the entire content is written by a hard-working and sincere human writer.

“Even if the content is 90% human generated, its not sufficient for clients. They want a report which says that its 100% Human generated content or else they won’t release the escrow amount.” says the digital marketer from Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Recently, an AI Detection Tool reportedly flagged a content as AI generated which is existing on the government website for nearly two decades. Clearly, the tool is not reliable.

Now even MIT is suggesting to teachers to not rely on AI detection tools for checking research and academic papers of the students.

Welcome to another new industry —“Humanizing the Content”

If you have checked your with well-known AI Detection tools, you are given a detailed report on the percentage of AI detection throughout the content. Somewhere on the website, you are also given an option of humanizing that content!

Often, humanizing the content is a paid service and it begs the question whether AI Detection tools can be trusted for their authenticity given the fact that they are providing a paid service that claims to convert AI generated content to Human generated so that the detection tool will no longer find AI Traces in the rephrased text.

Most of the Content Humanizer tools start from monthly subscription of $7 for outputting nearly 1 Lakh characters of text.

Can AI generated content hurt Google Rankings and Search Visibility?

While Google officially says that it has no problem with AI generated content as long as it is useful and relevant for the readers, we have seen several websites of small sized IT companies who were putting out such content (even if they are extremely useful to the reader). Those websites have tanked down in rankings dramatically over the year.

Certain Types of Content Are More Likely to Trigger AI Detection — Even When Human-Written

In our experience, we have seen that the type of content you are writing decides the likelihood of AI flags on your content.

If your content is based on newer factual information which has not been largely scraped and analyzed by the hungry web crawlers of AI Datasets then there is extremely less possibility of AI detection in your content.

But when you are creating an article on a topic that has been covered a dozen times before, you need to be extra careful to choose the right words and sentence structure so that the written content passes with “0 % AI Detection” message.

This is why news articles often passes without any AI flags on most occasions as the information in it is relatively young on the internet.

But an article like “Perfect Wedding Destination Planner in Mexico” will require significant efforts to formulate the sentences just to evade the mistaken detection of an AI engine.

How to Write Content That Avoids False Positives in AI Detection Tools

We have observed that the time spent on writing a content has increased by a lot if we want to achieve “0% AI Detection”.

From our trial and error, we observed that we were able to consistently get “100% Human Generated Content” message from tools like ZeroGPT and QuillBot.

Firstly, your sentences need to be structured in a vocabulary that is different from the already existing information about the content that you are writing. Instead of writing “Stress-free Destination Wedding”, you can instead write “A destination wedding that will have far less problems for families and guests”

Let’s say, you are writing a persuasive copy for a wedding planner who wants clients looking for Destination Wedding in Mexico.

Content Originally Written by the Human Flagged with False Positive
Content Written in such a way that produced 0% AI GPT Message

In the above example, we tried to convey that a wedding destination is far from easy which is factually true. However, most writers would have written in a way like “Hiring a wedding planner for a destination wedding in Mexico ensures a stress-free, well-coordinated celebration.”

As you can see from the above example, originally human written line was perfect and used appropriate words such as “stress-free”, “well-coordinated celebration” but we rephrased them to form sentences like “To say that a destination wedding comes with no challenges will be a lie. And that’s why a local wedding planner can be extremely worth your money.”

Secondly, and this is very important, your content needs to have a little of conversational tone and should also be less perfect.

Lets take another example below

As you can see from the above example, the English and sentence formation could have been better with fewer words. However, when you write a sentence in a little elongated manner, you are unlikely to see false positives.

In Short, The lesser words you use to convey more, the better the sentence sounds. However, it also raises alarm of the AI Detection tools.

There are pair of words which are so relevant that have been used a dozen times in millions of articles on the same topic. For e.g. pair of words like “Stress-free wedding”, “Smooth-coordination”, “Beach front Wedding” and etc. are most likely be present in similar topics existing on the Internet.

A Tip!

Don’t finish the entire content before checking it in the AI Detector engine. Always write a few sentences, copy them and then check whether they are AI detected or not. If they are, then rephrase them then and there before writing continuing the content.

Is it Laborious? Yes. But unfortunately, it seems the only legit way that a truly human written content is not flagged AI generated.

Note: – This article itself is written with the methodology that is explained in this. You can check the 0% AI Detection Report from here.

Conclusion

In today’s time, the challenge for the writers is to formulate a sentence in a way that has never been written before so that sentence structure and pair words are not the same which the AI Detection engines will find in its library as they have been trained on billions of datasets of content already existing on the internet.
