Geeta Kapur is a well-known choregrapher in the film industry. She is also a prominent face in the judge panel of dance reality shows in India. Born in 1973, Geeta comes from a background of financial struggles.

Family

She lost her father at a young age. She lived in a small house of 10 by 10 with four people and there used to be lots of fights. Her mother was catholic and her father was a hindu. Being raised with different beliefs and culture, she practices faith in more than one religion which is why Geeta in her home has a dedicated space not for prominent Hindu dieties, Jesus Christ, Guru Nanak but even for Holy book of Quran.

Career

Geeta had her fair share of struggle in her early days. She recalls that before joining Farah Khan’s dance troop at the age of 15, she tried modelling contracts and do side hustles in order to earn livelihood.

Geeta tells her that people would question her on being overweight, to which she replied that she is suffering from three slips discs.

Geeta was asked what she would have done if not choreography, to which she replied that she would have tried for an air hostess job.

Her Opinions On Marriage and Intimacy

Media brought up rumors that Sajid Khan (brother of Farah Khan) proposed Geeta Kapur back when she was working under Farah Khan. Geeta has talked about that incident in many interviews and opines that Sajid was pranking her and never had the intention to probably date her. As per her, she also didn’t thought of Sajid in a romantic manner.

She dismissed rumors that she is married, have kids and have a bungalow in Goa.

Geeta Kapur has expressed different views on marriage at different times. At times, she didn’t expressed desire for marriage whereas recently in an interview with Shardulogy, Geeta Kapur stated that she would want marriage if possible.

Geeta Kapur was asked an absurd question by a Youtuber on whether she pleasures herself! The choreographer responded that she indeed does. The Youtuber later didn’t stopped at that and went on to ask whether Geeta engages in physical intimacy a lot, to which Geeta replied Yes, when she wants to.

In an interview with Jaaneman, Geeta Kapur expressed that people may have wrong assumptions that she doesn’t date. “She clearly stated that she is not a nun. “Some people think that I am a celebate”, Geeta opines. She says that she feels “Non-Sexy” because people often call her Geeta Maa.

She has strong affection towards Farah Khan and consider her as equivalent to mother as it was Farah who had supported her from the very beginning. She joined Farah Khan dancing group at the age of 15
