With nearly 4 months to go for Champions Trophy 2025, there still hasnt been any clarification about India’s participation in Pakistani stadiums. If we talk about latest updates about India’s participation in Champions Trophy, multiple reports have come in the media which states that ICC is satisfied with the ongoing preparations of Cricket Stadiums by the Pakistan Cricket Board, thereby indicating that it would be hard for BCCI to refuse to come to Pakistan. But no official response has come from BCCI sources whether India will eventually play in Pakistan or not for Champions Trophy.
The Pakistani media opines that India has no choice other than to come to Pakistan for Champions Trophy. Now a senior sports journalist working for Geo News Abdul Majid Bhatti has opined that BCCI will face several consequences if India decides to skip its Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan.
India has hosting rights for 2026 T20 World Cup along with Sri Lanka and of 2029 Champions Trophy. The senior journalist opined that there is nearly 70 – 80% chance of Indian team coming to Pakistan this time and that there will be severe consequences if they decide to skip coming to Pakistan on this occasion as Pakistan too will refuse its players to travel to India in the ICC events that are going to take place in India in the next 4 years.
