Why did he choose Independent journalism after 12 years of corporate career?

During an interview, Ajeet opined that most publications are biased towards a certain politician or political party and it becomes difficult for a journalist to express a neutral perspective as doing so may hamper the commercial interests of the publication. Therefore, in order to express his independent voice freely without any constraints, he decided to pursue journalism on his own terms after working almost a decade in the media corporate house.

He doesn’t believe in modulating content for the purpose of gaining more viewership. Bharti opines that twisting the narrative in order to appeal to a certain section of people may bring more viewership in the short-term but it will be followed by a decline only.

He strongly believes that Indian media is divided into two groups. Pro Modi and Anti- Modi. It’s like black and white and there is no media in between. He opines that reputed newspapers like the Hindu, The Indian Express are biased.

Expressing his strong opinion on the likes of Ravish Kumar and Dhruv Rathee, Bharti believes that they have an agenda to magnify miniature issues of the Modi government.

Tiff With Supreme Court

Ajeet, upon becoming aware about this second contempt case on him, presented his opinion in a strong manner through his video.

Ajeet Bharti has time and again openly criticised the High Court and Supreme Court, often calling them as inefficient and accusing them of bribery, favouritism and abuse of power. KK Venugopal Rao, the then Attorney General of India took note of this matter and gave consent to allow criminal proceedings against Ajeet Bharti on charges of contempt of court.

Knowing himself and aware about the profession, Bharti jokingly admits that he indeeds fears death because of his outspoken nature. However he believes that he has faith in a long life.

Support and Criticism of the Modi government

Bharti is one of the few journalists who often presents both the good and bad sides of the sitting government and even of the opposition. He considers himself Right wing and openly calls himself the admirer of Narendra Modi and this is why many critics of Modi suspect that Bharti is a paid supporter of BJP.

However, he often has criticised the Modi government for many reasons with unnecessary taxation one of them. He also criticised the government about the disparity of pay scale between Hindu priests and Muslim priests.

He alleged that AAP used Deep Fake technology to create a false ad of UPI promotion by Pankaj Tripathi in order to defame the BJP government.

On Akhand Bharat, Ajeet has an interesting take as he believes that idea of it is totally illogical as it will only lead to more muslim population which will eventually lead to decline in the hindu population. Therefore, he opines that the ideology of achieving Akhand Bharat is neither possible in the first place nor feasible.
