Sonu Sood may have made a name as one of the most good-looking villain through Dabangg film image, but has always been a real life hero.

The actor has always been involved in a lot of charity work, and his name was viral on the internet, especially during the COVID time, when he was helping a lot of migrant workers to return back to their home, when the public transportation and private transportation were halted due to COVID.

Recently, Farah Khan made a vlog with Sonu Sood and the actor, made an interesting revelation that he helped a whooping 7,23,000 migrant workers to return to their home during the COVID time.

The actor opined how he and Farah Khan worked in tandem to help the needy people reach back their home and revealed that those grateful people are still connected to him through his foundation.

Sonu Sood: Everyone knows that Farah and I share a very close bond. During the pandemic, if someone needed help through Farah, they’d call me. And if someone contacted me, I’d reach out to her. We were constantly coordinating to help people in need.

Sonu Sood: Many of those we supported during that time are still associated with us today. They’ve become part of our foundation and continue to work with us with full dedication.
Farah Khan: Sonu, do you have any count of how many migrants you helped send back to their villages?

Sonu Sood: Yes, I have a complete record of every single person — their Aadhaar card, PAN card, address, and phone number — I still have it.

Sonu Sood: There were 723,000 people.

Sonu Sood: We connected with all of them and ensured their travel back home.

During India’s nationwide lockdown in 2020, Sood launched the “Ghar Bhejo” initiative, arranging buses, Shramik trains, and even charter flights to send migrants safely back to their homes from cities like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu. The initiative received widespread recognition and people hailed Sonu Sood for being a real-life hero.
