During the podcast with Apoorva Mukhija, Farah Khan talked about that she is now really enjoying working on YouTube and that she would have started it if she knew how profitable and lucrative YouTube is.
Farah Khan started her YouTube channel around 2 years ago and it was a breath of fresh content as people were always curious to know about Farah Khan’s personal life and her YouTube videos gives a really good insight on her daily lifestyle. Although her husband and daughters do not appear on the vlogs, Farah and Dilip’s witty and unscripted like narrative really holds the attention.
Her channel recently got a golden button and during her interaction with Apoorva, Farah revealed that she had received the silver button on the 2nd video itself.

However, the viraling of her channel started after she brought in Dilip, her cook, also in the videos and Dilip has since become the talk of the town for his cute and innocent cum role. Farah joined the Youtube on 1st April 2024 and has acquired around 2 million subscribers till now.
Farah Khan also hinted that working on YouTube keeps her anxiety away from not being able to work on films due to availability of dates. She reveals that making a movie often takes away two years of her life. In contrast, YouTube fits better into her daily routine.
“I haven’t made movies in a while. The thing with films is, they take up two years of your life—you can’t do anything else in that time. I feel YouTube fame is far more penetrative; people connect with you instantly. We went to Soho House, and people were stopping me to say they love my YouTube vlogs. Even the watchman and the driver were watching them! My fanbase is much broader….. …And let me tell you there is lots of money in it which we didn’t knew. If I knew, I would have started much earlier.

While there are many YouTube channels related to food making, but the standout thing about Farah’s vlog is that not only she invites a celebrity, but also have humor and comic style in the form of Dilip (the cook) and herself, which makes the content really standout. Every video of Farah’s gains millions of views.
