Rohit Sharma actually made his debut on this day i.e. on 23rd June in 2007 against Ireland in Belfast and commemorated it with an Instagram story. Rohit didn’t got to bat in that match as India chased the target of 171/1 in 34.5 overs easily with 9 wickets in hand. He did however took a catch of Niall O’Brien off RP Singh’s bowling.

Rohit did expressed sorrow for not able to win the ODI World cup in 2023 and opinioned that it was a dream shattered of not winning an ICC trophy in front of the home fans which India won last time in 2011.
Rohit shared a heartfelt sentiment reflecting in that podcast about his belief that a person attains in life what has been written in his destiny and that it impossible to achieve more.
Maybe he was indicating about his own experience that he has won so many accolades for Indian Cricket except the grand ODI World Cup Trophy.
Speculations are also rife whether he along with Virat Kohli would be considered for the 2027 WC event that will happen in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
Multiple recent reports from various campaigns have highlighted both potential inclusions and notable exclusions in the ODI setup.
Rohit Sharma’s next assigment for India will be in August against Bangladesh for three ODIs.
