Gautham Govindam is a Malayali stand up comedian from Tamil Nadu. He was born in Dubai, UAE around 1989 which makes his age 34 years as of June 2025.

After spending the the first 10 years of his life in Dubai, UAE, his family moved to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

He did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya has done engineering from NIT, Calicut before pursuing MBA from IIM, Kolkatta. Following his education, he worked in a number of prominent organizations like Zoom, Slice and Cult Fit.

Gautham started his Stand Cup comedy in 2017 in Bengaluru. He did it part-time for for four years but wasn’t making any significant money. In 2023, he decided to pursue it full time.

He made up his mind to pursue his passion while he was doing work from Home for Cadbury during the Covid Time. When the company asked him to relocate to Mumbai, he quitted the job and has since been doing stand up comedy only.

Not much is known about his family except few details such as that his dad’s name is Govind Menon. He has a brother in Bengaluru. He often mentions in during his stand up shows that his mother gets irritated when he impersonates her.

He is not married and revealed in a podcast that he is dating a girl from Bengaluru. He has talked about his break ups in many podcasts.

In his school days, he once got falsely accused of peeping in the girl’s bathroom. Luckily, it was found that the accusation was false.

He once jokes that his apartment is so cramped that the first thing that is visible on entering it is the bed, which sometimes causes a social misunderstanding.
